Isostatic Moulding

Elekem has progressively developed isostatic moulding as the preferred compression method allowing the production of complex shapes such as:

  • Butterfly Valve seats
  • Beakers
  • Large diameter Thin Walled Tubes
  • Floats
  • Top Hat Mouldings
  • Repair and protection sleeves for glass lined vessels

A full range of PTFE protection sleeves from 2" to 20" diameter and Top angle and Bottom outlet combination sets are available. These are supplied with etched surfaces to enable them to be bonded in place.

The isostatic moulding method enables Elekem to produce a range of products for use in many sectors of industry which include:

Fabrications

Elekem combine moulding techniques and fabrication of PTFE stock shapes to produce complex assemblies, examples of which are:

  • Large diameter injector inserts for chemical service
  • Solid PTFE dip pipes
  • Tower distributor tray assemblies (inc encapsulated incoloy supports)
