PTFE is approved for food contact uses by all the main legislative bodies.

It has excellent non-stick properties which make an ideal material for the bakery and food processing industry.

Elekem combine the isostatic moulding process and suitability of PTFE to provide long thick walled roller sleeving for dough moulders and similar machines involved in aggressive foodstuff process machinery.

Advantages of non-stick PTFE sleeving includes:

  • The elimination and scratching of dough pieces
  • The low friction of the PTFE sleeves produces additional benefits of reduced power driving requirements.

    

Elekem offers either the complete supply of rollers or simply the replacement of the worn coating with a new PTFE sleeve of any thickness from 3mm to 25mm.
